The story
The inspiration for this picture came from my first trip to London – more precisely, from a bookshop in Notting Hill.The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful shade of blue of the shop, enveloped by the charm of its architectural style.
I was standing in that shop at the time, surrounded by old and new books and that warm London feeling, and suddenly I discovered these beautiful blue fabric bags.
The bookstore was printed on it as line art. Despite the lack of color and only white lines, it had a special effect. It showed that you can express a great deal with very little.
To this day, I slightly regret not having bought this fabric bag.
But it was precisely this moment that gave me the idea: I wanted to capture my very own version of it, and that's how "THE BOOKSHOP – LINE ART" came about.
A calm, lingering look at this day, this shop, this feeling.
