The story
“LATE NIGHT TALKS” was an image that I never really showed to anyone – although it has accompanied me over the past months and years.
I had days when I suddenly woke up at three in the morning. Nights when I came up with new ideas and couldn't wait to start using them. And evenings when I thought about all sorts of things and simply needed to clear my head.
To clear my head, I continued painting this picture every evening.And strangely enough, those were some of my favorite hours.
Everything was still. No street noise, no news, no expectations. Just me, my thoughts, and the feeling that the world was taking a momentary pause.
In that silence I could paint without thinking about what was right or wrong. And it was precisely there that I realized we can achieve anything – even when everyday thoughts sometimes overwhelm us.
“LATE NIGHT TALKS” captures precisely this moment: This special kind of conversation and thought that only arises at night.
